Volunteer If you would like to be part of our crazy "Massacure team", please let us know which of these positions you would be interested and available for. Positions are available for kids too! (10 years old and up).
- PROMOTION (attending events leading up to the Massacure on February 12th) This position will involve sitting at tables (possibly in pink wigs) handing out brochures, selling of merchandise, collecting donations. These pre-events may include
promotion at retail outlets and sports games. - DELIVERY (distribution) of posters, brochures, pledge packages, pink hair color, Massacure supplies or merchandise. This position is ongoing between December - March
- SCHOOL LIASON: keeping schools topped up with pledge package and any necessary supplies. Helping schools with registration of the students.
- EVENT SET UP (45 positions)
5:30 am - 8:45 am. Unloading u-haul, setting up tables, cutting area, banners /, stage assembly, merchandise layout, placing signage, set up registration and volunteer area, traffic control dividers -

- DATA ENTRY (during event)
- SELLING OF MERCHANDISE
- GIFT HANDOUTS (TOQUES, DILLY BARS, KALI BEAR TABLE)

BROCHURES, INFO AND DONATION TABLE
- SWEEPERS (pink hair removal)
- GOPHERS (responsible for any immediate or unforeseen errands_
- FLOATERS (offer breaks to volunteers in various positions)
- STYLIST ASSISTANTS
- TRAFFIC CONTROL (ensuring line-ups are organized and happy. Keeping the masses organized)
- SECURITY
- VOLUNTEER AREA (keeping food area neat, clean, and topped up, tracking volunteer sign-ins, hours and info)
- GARBAGE REMOVAL and GENERAL CLEANING / TIDYING (keeping event clean, tidy and happy)
- MASCOT (1 hour shift per) must be outgoing, fun loving and "In character".
- MASCOT HANDLERS
- EVENT TEAR DOWN: 50 positions (9 pm - 11;45 pm). repacking leftover merchandise and supplies, packing of clippers and all hair cutting supplies, final removal of pink hair, garbage, final tidying / cleaning / sweeping, disassembly of stage,
tables / chairs, signage removal, re-pack u-haul and unload.
