Pinking has become the signature trademark unique to the Hair Massacure. Over the years, we have collectively developed a crazy system that works. To date, over 90% of our "Proud Victims" colored their hair pink to raise awareness prior to the event. It's a lot of fun!
Mass Pinking
Mass Pinking Days were hosted by several of our salons. This is a great opportunity to pink with a group and a whole lot of fun!!

Pinking Rules
Please make an appointment with these participating salon prior to your “pinking”. Additional salons may participate, don’t be afraid to ask.
- A pinking fee of $15.00 may be required by the salon to cover a portion of the cost of your service. Bleaching fee will be at a reduced rate, but at the discretion of the salon. Please verify with your salon, the price of your service if bleaching and pinking.
- Stylists are donating their time and services, gratuities are accepted and appreciated.
- We recommend that hair be pre-bleached and short. Long hair will not be coloured for the reason of conserving product and cost. Pre-bleaching will reduce costs.
- If hair donation and pinking are both desired, please donate hair prior to colouring (place braided hair in baggie along with name and contact information) and bring braids to the mall at the time of the event where it will be sent in for wigs for children.
- Pink hair colour will fade quickly with frequent shampooing, and will fade immediately with a trip to the pool. Touch up “Kali Pink” may also be available at your salon.
Pinking at Home
Purchasing retail pink hair colour and home bleach kits are also convenient, affordable options. “Kali Pink” hair colour will be available at these participating locations (see below). Please use extreme care when bleaching your child’s hair at home. Kids scalps are sensitive and will require continual monitoring for redness or discomfort.
Itchiness and tingling is common. Using Vaseline around the hairline, including the forehead will help protect the skin. It is better to lift less pigment and rinse early if your child is complaining of discomfort. The pink will still adhere, but won’t be vibrant.

Kali Pink by Manic Panic
Kali Pink will available again for purchase in early January 09. Special thank you to Manic Panic in New York, and Collin Parker for distribution.
Proceeds from the sale of Kali Pink will be returned back to the Hair Massacure. Thank you to all locations for your support!
Hair Donation
- A minimum of 8 inches is required for wigs. Lightly treated hair is acceptable, providing it is healthy. Hair must be clean and dry.
- We take hair donations at the event. Our stylists will cut it and bag it for you. We will bring it to the Canadian Cancer Society for your convenience, if you choose.
- There will be braiding stations set up to braid your hair should you choose to donate at the mall. You must book your appointment prior to donating (see registration).
- Taking pledges for your hair donation is welcomed and encouraged.
