Fun Stuff has been an interesting component added to the Hair Massacure over the years, making this event fun, unique and humorous.

Although the reasons behind why the Massacure exists are very sad, we try to make the experience upbeat and very memorable. A few things we have incorporated into our event to keep it interesting:

Kali Bear Mascot

Don’t be surprised if you see this guy walking around town or in your school. This Bear is much too busy to hibernate this winter, he would much rather be out socializing at special events, schools or malls. “Kali” was custom made and proudly donated to our cause by International Mascots in Edmonton. If you do see him, he loves hugs, but watch him.....he does have a mischievous side!

Toyota MASSACAR

Be sure to wave if you see the MassaCar (kindly provided by Mayfield Toyota) and "pink things" in tow. For us, pink represents the celebration of life..what better way than in a parade! 

Krazy Kanines

Over the last 2 years, remarkable pooches have pinked, shaved and raised impressive pledges. If you wish to register your dog, and would like him to go pink, please do not use bleach or pink hair dye on his coat.

We strongly recommend that red food colouring be used on your pet for safety reasons. Kids typically don't lick their own hair, or each other's....If you choose to do this at home - it's messy, but works. All you need is a spray bottle with 1 full small bottle of food colouring, a water bottle and shower curtain that you are prepared to part with. No need to rinse, just blow dry.

JUST FOR KICKS "General" information.

"The General" is a miniature horse that lives at Altrum Stables. This little guy has been offered as a special member of the Hair Massacure for the use of providing gentle rides to small children who have been afflicted with life threatening illnesses or severe impairments. He will bare up to 65 pounds on his back.
Altrum Stables in Morinville will be hosting a "riding day" to provide rides to children with past or present threatening health conditions (larger horses will also be available for riding for older kids). This is a fun opportunity to socialize with other families in similar situations. (www.altrumstables.com).
