Our chosen foundations are Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation® & Make-A-Wish® Northern Alberta. Proceeds from the Hair Massacure are divided evenly between these two charities.
Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation®
Thanks to the Stollery, our daughter Kali was able to experience the second half of her chemotherapy treatments in a more comfortable environment.
The Stollery cares primarily for children living in Northern Alberta and some of Western Canada. The hospital is decorated in fun colours and themes to make a child feel at home. There is a bed in every room for a parent to sleep overnight, and a television to make the stay more comfortable. Research, medical teams and equipment make this hospital number one in Western Canada. The money raised from this event goes directly to Childhood Oncology labs in the city. Two labs at the Stollery Hospital, which have made international findings, are funded from this event.

Imagine the power of a WISH. What if the incentive of a wish was enough to encourage a critically sick child to keep fighting? Kali’s wish was to pet a black and white dolphin. The entire family was included in the experience and speaking personally, it was life altering for all of us.
