Event Facts - The Hair Massacure is currently working on it's seventh year as a family run event.
- To date has raised over 1,780,000.00 to benefit children with cancer and life threatening illnesses.
- Event inspired by young cancer patients and survivors.
- This year (08 event) generated 785,000.00 ....still trickling in.
- 1,300 participants, well over half are children.
- 2008 event - 27 schools supported the Hair Massacure from all across Alberta. Great project for kids
- 2006 - 2008 Held at West Edmonton Mall. Entire space was a full donation
- Event consists of headshaving and entertainment.
- Very solid, massive media promotion (radio, television and newspaper)
- Half of our participants raise over 500.00 in pledges and receive a Kali Bear.
- Reaches all demographics. Seniors, toddlers, teenagers, businessmen, teachers, construction workers....and even dogs!
- Many young cancer survivors fully participate (after they've experienced hairloss - WOW)
- Incorporation of mohawks and hair tattooing.
- Several remote "Massacure's" throughout Canada and Alberta.
- Yes....it's fun and very rewarding to be a part of.

These chapters of Make-A-Wish will be reuniting with our cause and raising funds for their own local children.
